Seven statuses

  • • Inbox, next, waiting, someday, reference, done, archived
  • • Done is recent; Archived is filed history
  • • A date never changes a status on its own

Both directions

  • • Reopening a Done task sends it back to Next
  • • Completing a repeating task creates the next one
  • • Completing a task clears its Focus star

Deleting waits

  • • Delete goes to Trash and offers Undo
  • • Delete forever leaves only a deletion record
  • • That record is kept for 90 days, then it goes
