GTD overview
Getting Things Done is a workflow for turning open loops into trusted next actions. Mindwtr follows the core shape without forcing every advanced option onto the first screen.
The five stages
| Stage | Mindwtr surface | Practical goal |
|---|---|---|
| Capture | Inbox, quick add, share sheet, shortcuts | Get the thought out of your head. |
| Clarify | Task editor, review flow | Decide what the item means. |
| Organize | Projects, contexts, waiting, someday | Put the item where you will find it. |
| Reflect | Daily and weekly review | Keep the system trustworthy. |
| Engage | Focus and Next Actions | Choose what to do now. |
Mindwtr's interpretation
Mindwtr treats GTD as the product constraint, not a decorative feature. Capture stays fast, deeper decisions happen during review or editing, and Focus only shows work that can reasonably be acted on now.
Common terms
- Inbox: unprocessed captured items.
- Project: an outcome that needs more than one action.
- Next action: a concrete action that can be done next.
- Context: where, how, or with what energy an action can be done.
- Waiting For: items blocked by another person or event.
- Someday/Maybe: ideas you might want later but do not want active now.
